Set up Buzzblender on a Samsung TV (Tizen)

This guide walks you through installing the Buzzblender app on a Samsung TV running Tizen OS and activating it as a digital signage screen.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

Install the Buzzblender app

Buzzblender software for Samsung Tizen player. On your Samsung TV remote, press the Home or Smart Hub button to open the main menu.

Navigate to Apps to open the Samsung app store.

Select the search icon (magnifying glass) and type Buzzblender.

Select the Buzzblender app from the search results.

Select Install to download and install the app on your TV.

Open the app and get your activation code

After installation completes, open the Buzzblender app from your Apps list or select Open from the store page.

The app will display an activation code on your TV screen. This is a short code you'll use to link this screen to your Buzzblender account.

Write down or keep this code visible — you'll need it in the next step.

Activate your screen in the Admin Panel

On your computer, phone, or tablet, log in to your Buzzblender Admin Panel.

Go to the Devices section.

Select Add Screen or Connect Device.

Enter the activation code shown on your Samsung TV.

Give your screen a name (for example, "Lobby TV" or "Menu Board") so you can identify it later.

Confirm the activation. Your Samsung TV is now linked to your Buzzblender account.

Start showing content

Once activated, your Samsung TV is ready to display playlists. From the Admin Panel, you can:

  • Upload media — Add images, videos, or other content to your library

  • Create playlists — Organize your content into playback sequences

  • Schedule content — Set when your playlists play, by time of day or calendar

Your TV will automatically show content once you publish a playlist to it.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the Buzzblender app in the Samsung store

Make sure your Samsung TV is connected to the internet and that you're searching in the correct regional app store. If the app still doesn't appear, check that your TV model runs Tizen OS (most Samsung smart TVs from 2016 onward support Tizen). Older Samsung models may use a different operating system.

The activation code isn't working

Codes expire after a short time. On your TV, close and reopen the Buzzblender app to generate a fresh activation code, then try entering it again in the Admin Panel.

My TV shows a blank screen after activation

Your TV is waiting for content. In the Admin Panel, make sure you've created a playlist and published it to this screen. Check the scheduling to confirm the playlist is set to play now.

What's next

After your first Samsung TV is up and running, you can add more screens, set up scheduling, and create playlists for different times of day or locations.
